STS Thoracic Endografting Symposium

Plan now to participate in the upcoming Thoracic Endografting Symposium to be held Friday and Saturday, November 21-22, 2008 at the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Hotel. Click here to register. STS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.

Over the past three years, hundreds of cardiothoracic surgeons have learned about a new procedure and expanded the scope of their practice by participating in the STS Thoracic Endografting Symposia. You now have the opportunity to do the same. Click here to learn more.

The Thoracic Endografting Symposium will feature an overview of thoracic endografting for cardiothoracic surgeons; a review of the devices available and in development; sessions on endovascular management of thoracic aortic disease and complications; and a look at the future direction of thoracic endografting. There will also be a session on launching an endovascular program, with details on coding and reimbursement, followed by breakout sessions on catheters and guidewires, pre-operative planning, and imaging. Click here for a complete agenda.

According to the STS Guidelines for Credentialing of Practitioners to Perform Endovascular Stent-Grafting of the Thoracic Aorta, participation in a didactic educational program is one of the recommended requirements for obtaining credentials to perform this important procedure. The November Thoracic Endografting Symposium is an excellent opportunity to fulfill that requirement and learn how to apply this exciting approach from leading experts in the field.

Past participants have described the Symposia as "outstanding" and "excellent," and have praised the "superb faculty."  To register online. For more information, contact STS Education and Member Services Assistant Michele Chao at (312) 202-5846 or mchao@sts.org.
