ASCVTS Abstract Deadline Extended

The DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION for the Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (ASCVTS) meeting has been extended from OCTOBER 31, 2008 to NOVEMBER 30, 2008.  The 17th Annual Meeting is to be held March 5-8, 2009 in Taipei. AATS Grant Writing Workshop 2009

The fourth Grant Writing Workshop will take place on Friday, March 6, 2009 in Bethesda, Maryland.  Pedro J. del Nido, MD and John W. Hammon, MD will serve as course directors.

This one-day workshop, organized by the AATS Scientific Affairs and Government Relations Committee, is designed to help professionals who are applying for grants to better understand the complex nature of preparing and submitting grant proposals. Invited faculty will include NHLBI and CSR representatives, current research investigators, and leaders in the field of cardiothoracic research. This workshop is designed to address the needs of both current and previous grant recipients.
